Happy October! Vintage Jewelry & Fall Jewelry Fall Preview

What have you been up to so far this year? anyone doing anything special? my husband and I have been traveling a bit, sometimes just Sunday drives, and in late August early September we took a trip to Oregon. That’s when I got on the kick to photograph covered bridges. Apparently Oregon has the most covered bridges west of the Mississippi. Though while there, we didn’t get to see any, as we were going for the coastal views and lighthouses on that trip, I have discovered a whole new exciting thing to do is chase covered bridges for photographing. It’s been so fun. So far I’ve only done two and both were in California.  Luckily for me, my husband likes doing this as well, as he has been the driver, so I am excited he is enjoying the outings as much as me.

Here is the second bridge we photographed, this one was taken in Tahoe City, Placer County California. It’s the Tahoe City Dam Covered bridge. The bridge is located at Lake Tahoe/Truckee River. The span of the bridge is 18.20 feet. We photographed the bridge on September 25, 2009.
Here is the first bridge we photographed, this one is located in Bridgeport California near Nevada City, in Nevada County California. Pioneer’s who came to California to establish a new life crossed this bridge in the Northern Mine Country. It was built by David l. Wood.
Bridgeport is one of only 10 covered bridges remaining in California. The bridge is in very good condition considering its age. Built in 1862, at 251 feet, it is the longest single span covered bridge in the United States. We photographed this bridge on September 13, 2009.

Okay on to the Jewelry! first off I have a “I Love Paris!”, A Beaded Slider Bracelet with Vintage French Images & Crystals.
Very cute silver plated slider bracelet with Swarovski Crystal Beads in Black and Swarovski Crystal Tahitian Pearls, kind of a mix between green and black, very pretty. The images are from days gone by Vintage images that have been glued in and then a coating of Art Gel is put on the top of that to create a shiny glaze look,, some of the round sliders have Swarovski Crystal Studs glued on top of the images for a bit of glamor!. Sterling silver beads are added to the end of the bracelet along with a slide lock clasp. Bracelet is approx 7 3/4″. Please see my “What Size Bracelet” page for more information on sizing. This is a one of kind bracelet, which means I can only make the one that I have available right now because I do not have the supplies to make another at this time and I may not ever make another. So if you like it, you should buy it right away!
