Last Summer Outing & Beaded Copper Fall Leaf Necklace
I made this gorgeous Fall Leaf Necklace with Earrings and never had time to post about it in here last week. I posted it on my Etsy site.

We took some time last week to spend with our granddaughter and took her to North Shore Lake Tahoe. There is a beautiful beach there and it’s a great place to take the family for a day at the beach and picnic lunch. The sand is soft and it’s gorgeous there.
After we play on the beach and in the lake we go for a walk and have some Dryers Ice Cream. She loves to go and it’s kind of a special thing my husband and I do with her now each year.
We all love going each year. For us it’s less then a 2 hour drive. My granddaughter and I also went to the zoo one day and made some candy. She starts back to school tomorrow.

Photo Shop & Hand-Made Jewelry
What does photo Shop and Jewelry have to do with one another? well lots because every piece of Jewelry Art you put out needs a good photographer and a good program to edit the photo in. I use both Corel Paint Shop Pro X2 and Photo Shop Elements newest version for Mac. I am still learning Photo Shop Elements since I got my Imac earlier this year. There is so much to learn that I need a book to learn it all. No book came with the program.
Today I played around in the Photo Shop and did a Cut Out and then put a background behind one of my pups Effie and me. I have another pup Edie. They have their own blog.
This week was so busy, but I made a beautiful bracelet using Right Angle Weave. I made 10 Beads using the technique with some Copper Beads, Copper Bead Caps and Chain. I then made some matching earrings and again it was sold before I could post it to my Jewelry Website Krystal Kat’s.
The bracelet was made in all the colors of beads used in a Psalm 23 The Lord is My Shepherd Bracelet found on my website.
Though I do not presently have a this particular bracelet for sale on my website in copper I am happy to make any custom orders if anyone is interested just let me know?
Once I learned the stitch I had fun creating a few fun things. I am working on Fall Jewelry and so I will just keep posting little bits and pieces of what I make new each week in here.
Here is the Cut Out from Photo Shop I did today. I forgot my dogs tail but it seems to look okay cause she might have had her tail down? who knows right?! I made the photo very large to show the detail of how nice the background came out. Really Cool Stuff!!

And here is the before photo. I am still learning but turned out okay excpet my hair looks funny I had it pinned up and it’s very curly.

Well until next time have a great Saturday night! ~Kat

Making Beads with Beads
It was my daughter Kirsten’s birthday this weekend and I had quite a few orders to fill today and yesterday so there was no time to post in my new Jewelry Blog until today. So here I am with just a tiny bit of what I got done last week.
For one I had made my daughter a cute necklace as one of her presents. Shown below a cute Swarovski Crystal Green Beaded Necklace with Bugle Beads, Seed Beads and Cat’s Eye Beads. The Focal point is either a 5 point star or a flower. I tried to make it with 5 points and it didn’t work out right.

I had also made these really cute Skull Earrings to sell online at my Jewelry Website Krystal Kat’s, but they were bought before I could even get them online. I think these are really cute and I will try to make them again and get some more online. I had made one pair in Pink Swarovski Crystals and the other in AB Black Swarovski Crystals.

On Saturday before I left for the birthday party, I had time to learn a new beading technique. I took 12 Swarovski Crystals and made a bead with them. The end result is pretty cool! I will have to add some more photos of how I started out and made it look like it does right now.

Have a wonderful Tuesday! ~Kat
